Welcome to the Maryland State Council of the Knights of Columbus

Our Mission
The Knights of Columbus empowers Catholic men to live their faith and serve their family, parish, community and country.
The Maryland State Council is the leadership and administrative body that oversees all local councils within the state of Maryland. Our purpose is to coordinate, support, and strengthen the work of local councils so the Order’s mission is carried out effectively at scale.
Our Vision
Founded by Blessed Michael McGivney in 1882, the Knights of Columbus is the premier lay Catholic men’s organization. Guided by the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, we build lifelong relationships with our members and families. We are multigenerational and international. We offer formation, mutual aid and financial security to members through our charity, products and outreach. We aspire to invite every Catholic man to join the Knights of Columbus and to extend our charitable reach as widely as possible.

A WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE STATE DEPUTY
"The Maryland State Council exists to strengthen local councils, build Catholic leaders, and empower men to serve their families, parishes, communities, and country. We invite every Catholic man in Maryland to discover the brotherhood and purpose found within the Knights of Columbus."
John F. Winfrey, FM
State Deputy
